Name: Cranberry Meatballs Serves: 4 dozen Category: appetizer Cuisine: Source: Ingredients: Make the balls: 1 # lean ground beef 3/4 cup plain breadcrumbs 1/2 cup tomato juice 2 Tbs horseradish 1 beaten egg 1 Tbs Worchestershire sauce 1 Tbs minced fresh parsely 1 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper Sauce: 1 Tbs cornstarch 1 Tbs hot water 1 can (16 oz) whole cranberry sauce 1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar 1 Tbs lime juice Preheat oven to 350F Shape one inch balls, put in ungreased baking pan. Bake 30 minutes, or until brown. Sauce: Combine cornstarch and water in small bowl, stir until smooth. In large skillet combine remaining ingredients. Cook over medium heat stirring until sugar dissolves. Add cornstarch and mix until sauce thickens. Stir in meatballs. Transfer to casserole and cover; refrigerate 8 hours or overnight. To serve: preheat oven to 350F. Cover and bake 30 mins. Serve warm
