Name: Tom's German (sweet & sour mustard) Serves: Makes 2 cups Category: Condiment Cuisine: German Source: tomd Ingredients: 1 4-ounce can Coleman's Dry English Mustard 1 cup white vinegar 1 1/4 cups sugar 2 eggs, beaten Directions: Stir together the mustard and the vinegar in the top of a double boiler, cover and let stand 8 hours or overnight. Add the sugar and the eggs and stir well to allow sugar to mix well with the other ingredients. Cover and cook mixture over simmering water for one hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Remove cover, stir, and simmer 15 minutes longer. Pour into covered glass jar and refrigerate. Keeps for several months.
