Ingredients: 2 Tbs bacon drippings 4 cups of shredded red cabbage(1 med head) 1/2 cup dark brown sugar 1/4 cup cider vinegar 1/4 cup water 1 1/4 tps salt 2 cups cubed, unpeeled apples 1/2 tsp caraway seeds (OPTIONAL) Heat drippings in large skillet or wok Add remaining ingredients, stir well, cover and cook over low heat for 15 minutes or longer. 15 minutes for crisp cabbage..30-45 mins for tender cabbage.
